Dr. Kazuhira Okumoto is internationally recognized for his contributions to software reliability engineering and is co-author of the Goel–Okumoto Software Reliability Growth Model, one of the most widely cited models in the field.

With more than four decades of research and industrial leadership, including service as Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs, Dr. Okumoto continues to advance 3S research in predictive software quality analytics, operational reliability, AI-assisted engineering intelligence, and integrated software and hardware reliability.
